Yes it is true. HTML Sitemap is the general sitemap, XML is for google and TXT is the Yahoo Sitemap.

We can easily create Sitemaps for google, yahoo using the URL http://www.xml-sitemaps.com. After Creating the XML and TXT Sitemaps, Just Upload it to your website.

The file extension should be as .txt for yahoo sitemap and the URL should be as http://www.sitename.com/urllist.txt, http://www.sitename.com/sitemap.xml(for Google)

We Should submit the URL http://www.sitename.com/urllist.txt to the yahoo address http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request using the Submit Feed option.

Hi,

yes, finally i got a solution for my doubt.

thank you for correct answer - SAM

yes friends, yahoo wants that type of file, i saw these lines in yahoo feed submiting page. (http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request )

"You can provide us a feed in the following supported formats. We do recognize files with a .gz extension as compressed files and will decompress them before parsing."

"A text file containing a list of URLs, each URL at the start of a new line. The filename of the URL list file must be urllist.txt; for a compressed file the name must be urllist.txt.gz. "

once again i thank you SAM
